Sam White & Sons was established in 1954
by Sam White. Sam and his wife Agnes, having six
kids, ran the company out of the living room of their
Newton home. Agnes was the company secretary, and Earle
B. White Jr., along with his brother Jack, helped get
the business running after his service in the United
States Army. Together, the family delivered landscape
supplies to the surrounding area with their three
company trucks.
Earle worked around the clock,
alternating between making deliveries for the family
business, doing tunnel construction and working for the
Perini corporation. Sam would often drive a truck loaded
with material to the tunnel, and take Earle's car
back home. Earle would then make deliveries
right after getting out of the tunnel. Jack and Bobby
worked long days making deliveries for the family
business.
The company became incorporated in 1960,
and began a slow expansion. Land around the family's
home was purchased, and the company grew. The Hurley
Farm which was located behind the yard, had around one
hundred cows. The Hurleys were close family friends to
the Whites. After Sam's passing the company was handed
down to Earle and his brother Jack.

In 1980, the company began constructing
a garage in Medfield. This new location was opened
shortly after and became the company headquarters. Earl
and Jack kept the place running, and Earle's kids Dan
White and Donna McGill began working for the company.
Brother's Jack and Bobby split from the company and
Earle became the primary owner.
In the year 2000, Earle, Danny, and
Donna began constructing a garage in Middleborough, and
opened the new location shortly after. This sizeable
expansion has opened new doors for Sam White & Sons, and
is the leading edge for new endeavors. The company is
now poised to go on it's fourth generation of quality
service.
In
late 2010 Sam White & Sons created a new sister company
called, ....
Medfield Masonry Supply Co. The new company was
established to service wholesale/trade accounts in the
masonry-stone industry, and create wholesale pricing
strategies to it's customers.
